Successful candidate must hold/be qualified to obtain a TN teaching license with endorsement 150: Agriculture Education 6-12 and at least one of the following:

126: Biology 6-12

127: Chemistry 6-12

128: Earth Science 6-12

129: Physics 6-12

151: Agriscience 6-12

Or any equivelant retired endorsement code on an active TN teaching license. See "Licensure Resources" for an exhaustive list of retired endorsement codes.

Successful candidate must be able to deliver instruction for the following agriculture courses (see links for course standards):


Principles of Plant Science and Hydroculture

Greenhouse Management

Landscaping and Turf Science

Supervised Agricultural Experience

Small Animal Science

Large Animal Science

Veterinary Science

The successful candidate will be a 12 month employee and will be responsible for administering the program in compliance with the Q12 Program Manual.

The successful candidate will be responsible for coordinating Career & Technical Student Organization (CTSO) participation among agriculture education students at Volunteer High School and will serve as the Future Farmers of America (FFA) sponsor for Volunteer High School.
